A Note Before the process —
A note about my why and why I love offering E Design —
I love an effortless aesthetic, comfort, being drawn into a space that settles you. A space that is filled with things you've collected and love. Enjoying a space in your home daily because it's beautiful, cleared of clutter and has been designed and decorated with intention and purpose. I want a space to be able to be lived in and decorated harmoniously. Paired back decor done thoughtfully, curated with pieces to last. I want interior advice and styling to be attainable, affordable and not intimidating to ask for help. A project doesn't need to be a whole home renovation to need design help, a few small edits can truly change your day to day.
E Design allows us to curate your space on your timeline — all completed virtually. A complete room with furniture layout, all shopping links and design board visuals along the way so you see the process start to finish, and it's not finished until it's exactly what you're hoping for.
Your design is tailored to the way you live—your routines, your preferences, your existing pieces, and the moments you want to create at home. Here's a walk through the process, where to start, what to compile, how the edesign process works, what you can expect and how you'll receive your design!

WHERE TO START—

design questionnaire
Your goals, dreams, hopes and expectations. The design questionnaire is your opportunity to tell me all about how you want to live and feel in the space. Inspiration, budgets, favorites, what stays and what goes. Key words, key feels - you'll have a chance to tell all. Along with the questionnaire, you'll send a quick sketch of room dimensions.

A note on budgets > If you have a number you have decided you'd like the design to come in within, perfect, just let me know. If you don't I can fully appreciate that too. I very much like to choose items of good value, with a mix of high and low. I appreciate great design that also has great value, and I will always be respectful with your budget.

initial concepts
I love options and I love to show you options. A room can evoke the same feel through different ideas and I like to explore them. The first round of edits you receive will often have a couple of directions to consider - the process is fully centered around your feedback, and while I'm leading you in a direction, I want to know it's one you love and want to live in.

Timeline - you can expect a week to a week and a half for the first edits to hit your inbox. Along with the visual design board you'll receive a link to a visual page that is dedicated to your project. Every piece I look at, consider and include on the board will be directly linked so you can look through it as well as click through to the items anytime.
You'll be responsible for all ordering and can do so when you're ready. I do like to note though that if you are not shopping as links are current, it is not part of the process that they are continually re sourced.

the design
We've chatted about initial concepts and it's time to expand them. Now I'll delve into all the details. Once I send over a concept I want you to take a bit of time and let it sink in. I want your true thoughts on your likes, loves and dislikes in the design. The best part of the e-design process is you can sit down and go over everything as your schedule allows. Once I hear from you, I will be back to work on your project, taking a few days as I work on the natural progression of the room. I treat each project individually and want to make sure I am taking the time your space deserves.

The process continues with edits and sourcing until we've covered all the details and the space feels effortless, inviting and finished.

It’s multitasking design help that meets you exactly where you are, starting at $50 with pricing based on the scope of your needs. Design questions are great for quick, specific help, solving a design dilemma, sourcing options, styling questions, quick updates or stuck spots. All done virtually through photo's, design boards and email.

Invoicing for design services is done through PayPal in Canadian dollars. Through the PayPal invoice you can pay by debit or credit, and the invoice will be sent at the start of your project. I’m based in Canada, but you don’t have to be — in 15 years of offering e-design, I’ve worked with clients all over the world. I have a strong source list for Canadian and American projects, and if you’re elsewhere, I’ll simply ask for a few of your favourite local shops so we can ensure easy shipping and delivery.
