Spring Break! Yay! March 24th we were on our way to Kelowna. With stops it’s about an 8 hour drive from Calgary. We’ve done this trip before so the drive was actually no big deal.. we have our lunch spot, gas station stops and ice cream stop all planned and I find that totally helps break up the trip!
We decided to stay in Canada for our girls spring break, we normally head south ( last year LA ) but with the dollar so bad it’s better to stay home! We planned 3 nights in Kelowna, 2 in Vancouver and 3 in Tofino. Kelowna and Vancouver are two of our favorite destinations, especially the hotels I’m going to tell you about! and we were so happy to be heading back, and then off to discover Tofino!
We stayed at the HOTEL ELDORADO and I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough! It’s a smaller boutique hotel with an AMAZING restaurant, great lounge if you’re without kids ( I’ve only been there once.. we celebrated, well Kevin did haha, us finding out we were pregnant with Calleigh 11 years ago with some of his past alumni from the Kelowna Rockets and management. ) The pool is perfect, my kids spend hours in there, and you’re right on the waterfront + marina. The rooms are the comfiest and coziest.. we’ve stayed twice in the Arms Lake View Luxury Suite and it’s perfect. Even better with kids.. they sleep on the pull out sofa and you have a bedroom retreat to head to once they are in bed with a jetted tub that looks out over the water. Heaven!
Hotel Eldorado is so comfortable and like home to us now, I know we will go back year after year :)
While in town, two of our favorite things to do are hit up Alchemy ( amazing!! Kev and the kids know to give me plenty of time to shop ha ha ) and we love The Hatch winery. We brought home a bunch of their red wines! If you haven’t been before go visit Mission Hill and Quails Gate. Both are amazing properties to explore. Mission Hill was the very first winery tour I went on oh 12 years ago when I didn’t know a thing about wine! Oh, and if it’s hockey season be sure to catch a Kelowna Rockets game, so much fun! Hubs played there right before we met!

Of course I had to come up with a few outfit ideas I was loving and inspired me while we were there..
