Oh Vancouver.. I have such a thing for you :)
We headed out of Kelowna early Easter Sunday for our drive to Vancouver.. it was raining, the first day of bad weather we’d had, and that rain quickly turned to snow as we passed through the mountains. Our drive took considerably longer than planned and we made it to the Fairmont Pacific Rim just in time to sit down for our Easter Brunch reservation. Wow is the best word to describe the meal we ate and our surroundings. We’d stayed at the Pacific Rim once before when we went to Taylor Swift but we didn’t have a chance to eat at ORU, so glad we did this time! Grapefruit Mimosas made table side, the most incredible brunch offerings, salmon eggs benedict, fresh omelets.. oh it was delicious, and our table beside the window on a gorgeous sun filled day was hard to beat! Ok, maybe the only thing that could have beat it was the dessert table.. oh my heavens the time and attention that went into making the bunny donuts, open cracked eggs, chocolate fountain.. it was something else!!
We checked into our gorgeous room with amazing water views, wandered around the water front, the day was gorgeous and full of sunshine, went and got dressed for dinner and took the Aqua Bus over to Granville Island to SandBar for dinner. Sitting on the outdoor patio is one of our favorite spots!
( A huge thank you to the Fairmont for the darling Easter baskets they had for the girls! )
Monday morning was room service, a swim in the pool and off shopping. We ate lunch at Tractor, love their gluten free options! and walked over to Nordstrom + down to Yaletown to visit The Cross Decor + Design. Such a great day! We headed to Joe Fortes for oysters + dinner and then spent some time in the Lobby Lounge ( my favorite people watching spot! ) met bartender Grant Sceney who was crowned the 2014 Canadian Bartender of the Year in Canada’s biggest and most celebrated bartending competition, Diageo World Class Canada. Grants cocktail recipe, the Celibataire is the gorgeous pink drink Kevin was enjoying! A little wander through the gorgeous flower shop and Giovane cafe + market for candles and other goodies!
The next morning we were up and on the road early for part three.. Tofino! Back soon!
