Thanks to Wayfair.ca for sponsoring this post! It was so much fun having the opportunity to partner with Wayfair.ca to style my mantel for the holidays! I knew I wanted a look that mixed a natural feel with a bit of whimsy. Taking the hints of pink I have around the house and bringing in favourite ornaments and holiday decor I’ve collected over the years I added these following pieces from Wayfair.ca… the rubber leaf garland has a great swag and I loved that! Two ruffled stockings in burlap are beyond adorable, glass tealights in pink, a decorative indigo beaded rosary and the chateau sacred heart sculpture finished off the top mantel. Nestled at the ottomans I included the flirt glass lantern and I loved the waterside paulownia decorative tray to hold all my special ornaments!
This season is bringing cooler temperatures, signs of snow and little hints of holiday and it’s one of my favorites! Taking inspiration from the outdoors and the newest home collection from Real Canadian Superstore, this Canadiana theme had me instantly thinking skating party! The Canadiana theme embraces traditionally Canadian symbols and colours and when you add in details like the winter sports crackers instead of the traditional nutcrackers it tied in the winter sports and hockey and out on the pond we have kids and adults alike skating + playing all winter long!
Are these not the perfect little decorations? I love them as a holiday preview set up for a skating party and I look forward to mixing them into our full Christmas decor when it comes out next month! The buffalo plaid skates are so sweet and I made sure I loaded the tree with treats for the kids to have with hot chocolate post skating!
The set of 8 Maple Leaf ornaments are a perfect addition to your tree, use them as place cards or napkin rings for a dinner party, wrap one with twine around holiday cards and don’t forget to pull them out Canada day for a fun celebration addition!
A luxe faux fur throw for fireplace snuggles + a perfect pillow that brings the outdoors right in.
Don’t forget to pick up some winter gear for the family from JOE FRESH! These pieces are everyday + skating party perfect.. and have someone take a family pic.. you’re going to look adorable!
I’m not cooking in this in the kitchen post, but instead sharing some goodies that I love to see in the kitchen!
Geodes, rocks, crystals and quartz are abundant in my home and they’re my most favorite thing. Every chance I get I am adding more and my collection keeps growing and growing and I’m pretty sure it’s not stopping. Rose quartz, smokey quartz, healing stones, geodes, you name it, I want it! They’re in the kitchen ( you’ll often see me lighting candle holders on IG! ) in the office, living room, bathrooms and bedrooms.. yup, obsessed! I’ve rounded up a selection of gorgeous pieces available online >>
Here’s a great geode available at Anthro– super affordable and two sizes available!
Kevin and I were so thrilled to have our home featured in the September issue of Avenue Magazine. Avenue is a local Calgary magazine and is one of my absolute favorite reads.. I’m sure all you locals agree with me! I had a wonderful interview with the crazy talented writer Kait Kucy and when Jared Sych arrived to take photos.. ahh the talent! You can read the article here!
