A furnace tune-up is preventative maintenance that ensures furnace equipment is in good working condition and generating and circulating enough warm air to heat your home. A Reliance technician will inspect all major furnace components used to generate and circulate warm air, including the gas valve, igniter, heat exchanger and venter motor. In order to ensure safety in the home, the Reliance technician measures CO levels both inside the home and in the furnace exhaust using a Combustion Analyzer.

An air conditioner tune-up is preventative maintenance that ensures AC equipment is in good working condition and making your home’s indoor air cool enough. A Reliance technician will check on the general condition and efficient operation of the evaporator coil, that absorbs heat from inside your home, as well as the outdoor condenser unit, that expels the hot air outside. In the air conditioning process, liquid is created through condensation and typically drains to a floor drain or drain pump. The technician will check that the condensate drain is free of dirt or mold build-up that can plug up the system. The blower motor circulates cool air throughout the home. The technician will check that the motor is clean and in good working order.
